I use a tongue cleaner in the morning and at night.
at work I use a toothbrush to clean it. not as good but oh well.

remember to brush the roof of your mouth and the insides of your cheeks.

I use a toothpaste with triclosan in it. this slows down the growth
of bacteria somewhat.

at work I use a 'neutral' flavored toothpaste.

don't know if you've noticed, but strong flavors can create an issue to.
for example, brushing my teeth with a mint toothpaste can leave me
with a strong minty odor with fecal undertones. ugh
