lol this poster is an example of what i'm thinking..

Acute inflammation came back with Protopic and they said it made it "worse"... Acute inflammation makes swelling, pain, red..which we will portray as "worse" but infact it is actually healing the condition.

Then they said the lips got "better"(meaning the acute inflammation went away after healing)resulting in minimized peeling.. this is because the acute inflammation that came healed parts of the lips, so cortisol won't come.

If they further aggravated the "better lips" then it goes back to Acute inflammation to heal.... etc.... chronic inflammation. I'm glad i'm aware of this.
