first I wipe my face with distilled water to get off any dirt, then I apply a small amount of extra virgin coconut oil, then I put 10 or so drops of Iodine in a glass(I actually just turn a glass vitamin bottle over and put it in the "dip") and I rub it on my face with my finger, then I let it set on for a minute or two and apply another small amount of coconut oil. Works for me, but I am sure there are other ways to do it. I also have a thing of coconut oil that I mix with Iodine and essential oils that I use everyday on my body and usually more if I will be in the sun a lot.
