What about that okra-pepsin E3 stuff that's supposed to yank the mucus lining off and out? Anyway, I understand what you mean about herbs and such. I think our problems today are just not like the old days when remedies like this used to work. We now have stealth organism that I just don't think herbs can kick. I do believe there are natural methods that can work, but usually just take so much time, money and courage to venture out and do it against the face of what "everybody" else seems to think, ya know?
