from the article by dr flechas posted above by healingnaturally:
"While taking iodine, the vast majority of patients lose fat and gain muscle weight . Very rarely has weight gain occur. Often a check of the patient’s T4, free T3 and TSH shows the T4 to go down, free T3 going down and TSH going up. Iodide is an essential nutrient that is absorbed by all cell lines. Its highest concentration is seen in the thyroid."
"Patients have noticed a loss of weight. One patient after taking four pills of Iodine lost eight pounds of fluid weight in 24 hours."
"While taking iodine, the vast majority of patients lose fat and gain muscle weight . Very rarely has weight gain occur."
however, there is another article somewhere that has a vitamin combo or something that does address the rare instances of weight gain. the fact is, the bowels work better and absorption is better, so that those things that person might try before Iodine to lose weight and fail may actually work now. getting more out of your food means one can eat less. i find i need to eat a lot less and cant keep up with others in their eating. i can also chow down whe i want and not have the distress that others feel. in fact, my experience is that i can gain or lose weight much easier than before, but that it is more of a conscious choice.
now that i think about it, i believe i posted a quote on stopping weight gain from dr brownsteins book, a must read in my opinion. i am on unfamiliar equipment or i would try to find that. maybe someone else could assist.
