The noise is definitely annoying. You can completely eliminate the noise by adding a humidifier in between the ozonator and the stethoscope. Not only are the ears getting humidified ozone this way but also the noise is almost non-existent.
The ozone seems to stick around much longer than the scientists tell us is possible.
