Forgot to mention in initial post, but after the first couple of waterpik flushes I haven't had the smell return. When I wake in the morning before brushing my teeth is when I check. I stick the waterpik brush tip back into my tonsils while dry (not turning it on) and pull it out and sniff. So far so good. I also noticed that I don't get as bad a taste in my mouth as I sometimes did before. I do use nasal irrigation now cause I do have some nasal drip. Just hoping this will work, but I probably won't truly know or feel comfortable for a long time.
