I once read about something called "food spirits". The theory is that an essence of food can become embedded in the colon and become active when the colon is cleansed. I have had two such experiences, once I could smell and even taste a Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger. Now, even in my days of really bad eating habits I rarely had a Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger, I bought a couple on special, but felt they were overkill even in the world of fast junk food. I guess this might have been the remains of something really toxic that got stuck in my colon. To this day I cannot imagine ever eating another bacon cheeseburger even it it was free. One night during a Master Cleanse I woke up about 2:30 in the morning absolutely craving Velveeta Cheese, this is something I never especially liked except in my mother's homemade macaroni and cheese, something I had not had in decades. The craving was so strong I considered getting out of bed and driving to the nearest Walmart Supercenter (thirty miles away) for something I don't even like. Most of our food cravings are more emotional in their origin, a few may be from a nutritional need, such as a magnesium deficient person craving chocolate. However, when a person is in deep cleansing mode, the idea of food spirits does not seem so far fetched does it? :)
