If you look at all my messages then there is a pic of me from a peel ( fresh new skin ) to just over 3 weeks. Its like one big scab its looks horrible but its literally lots of dead layers of skin building on top of ech other.

Mind you when I first started to 'heal' it the lip would look terrible within a week easily, since then I have had some improvement.

Really what it boils down to is not to irritated it, thats the reason why I had been trying this method for years becuase what ever moisturizer I put on it the skin stayed glued to the lip so I would have to force it off when it looked bad resulting in even more innflammation, a bloody nightmare it was back then!

The swelling went down and that is becuase I was not forcing skin off all the time which makes sense, as soon as I peeled the scab off unless it came off like a hot knife going through butter the lip would swell a bit and be really red.

When you peel, a layer of skin immidiatley forms hence the rebuild of skin. In some it flakes off and in some it sticks to the lip ( which is ten times worse ).

I was convinced this was the way to heal but I think moisturizing and peeling the skin off when its ready is a better way of doing it ( although the fact that I have been leaving it alone for years has prob help me get to this stage but I can't do it anymore as it totaly recks your social life, not that I have one now but even going shopping would be hard with a huge scab on your lip!

Now I am using a moiturizer ( blitzex intensive moisturizer ) and peeling the skin off when its ready. My diet is miles better than it used to be so this must have helped too. Also when it goes wet and mushy I leave it to dry as this helps it come off a bit easier, I used to scrape off the white crap but I have realised this makes it worse even though you think it is helping becuase it wet!.

Anymore questions dont hesitate.
