i think i'm in the same boat as you. The bottom part of my lips has been turning into one big "scab". Each time i peel, though, it seems like the scab is staying on better than the time before. I keep trying to extend my peeling cycle and leave the scab on longer, but i really don't know if that is going to do anything. I also want to add that it seems, although its so gradual that i can't exactly be completely positive, that the hard skin is getting thinner and thinner every time. Right now I could probably leave it on easily for weeks, but the only problem is the skin gets a little discolored. Uklad, what has your experience been with this? If you have been trying for 4 years to leave it on and it hasn't done anything at all, then maybe that's not the answer. I just think that thats all i can do at this point because i am pretty sure that constantly peeling every few days is not going to help them, so this seems to be the only other alternative. how long did you usually leave yours on for? i remember in a post you said that it almost seems like the dead skin is "glued" on. Mine is the exact same right now.
