As I understand it, both the sun-earth distance and the earth-moon distance are not constant. Also, both average distances are slowly changing. Can we really measure the diameter of the sun with an error of less than 1%? If not, then the 108 factor might be 107 or 109. I know the numbers we have for the earth-moon distance and moon diameter are super accurate (only inches of error), but that earth-sun distance bothers me.
