I want to learn, know and then apply. Usually, I don't believe right away until proven. The logic is very important to me. Though the belief that the body has healing powers is my strongest one and nothing is changing that!
I was born in India and yoga, ayurveda, herbs, homeopathy, scratching the skin for vaccinations is what I grew up with. Coming to America, I let go of some of those beliefs and practises and in no time (less than 3 years) my body started showing signs of sickness and disease. And so I am back to my fasting, herbs and lentils and find great peace in going back to my roots. It is very satisfying.
Although the path of true knowledge is a long, sometimes lonely road, I am so far into it that it is impossible to return. And I like where I am and where I am going.
Your forum is a life saver and your insight is wonderful. :)
