It's hurting me now everytime I talk or chew anything or anytime I open my mouth. I haven't had those problems before, so why now? Not even responding to a narcotic. Pain is always there now.

Can you have TMJ without lockjaw or no bite problem?

Is lockjaw something that develops as TMJ gets worse, or does it not necessarily happen?

I had the pain in the bottom of my cheeks begin before all my teeth got pulled (all lower teeth on one side & few upper on my left side have been pulled out), but now I can only chew on one side of my mouth. And now I have this horrible jaw pain. I wonder if it's muscle strain.
