I can remember reading something about povidone Iodine being used by some doctors in the eye for Pink-Eye (conjuncivitis?) but even IT was seriously diluted and povidone is 1%! (I think). I think it was one part povidone Iodine to 99 parts water, but it was curing pink-eye.

Anyway, I've had straight Iodine on another sensitive area, and trust me, I don't think the eye would handle it full strength -

Worst-case scenario it would burn your eye
Least-case scenario would hurt like blazes...or worse!
