I'm a little more of the "all things in moderation" type, of course not all. If something is a known offender, it doesn't land in the all category. For instance, Mountain Dew containing Bromide lands on my banished list.

As a Christian, the Bible says to eat what is placed before you. Most of the time, you are in control of this. But occasionally, you will be somebody's guest, whether you are a Christian or not.

I have some vegetarian friends and we frankly don't like having them over as they are a pain in the you know what. Not only are they vegetarian, which we can work around, but one day they brought over some vegan burgers as we were having a barbecue and they didn't want their burgers to touch any part on the grill that had been exposed to meat. Fortunately, the grill was new, but that's a little weird since Science tells us that the residual left on the grill is simply carbon. Sure the atoms came from an animal, but many of the atoms in produce came from animals as well. Such a diet has transcended sanity.

So if I am a guest at somebody's house and they serve me Big Mac's with Mountain Dew, I'm going to eat it and not be too concerned. But I'm not going to make a habit of it. The only other option is to offend them by saying that their food is inadequate.

The supersize me movie was not just about eating only McDonalds, but eating the larger portions, thus the "super size". "super size" is the larger fries, gigantic soda, etc.

One friend of mine drinks four or five diet pepsi's a day and eats frozen microwave lunches. He's in good health. There are too many variables to dogmatically say that a raw diet is the best way to go.

Fortunately, fasting improves our desire for more natural foods. Personally, I've had more desire for eggs, which are almost always cooked. I've had an increased desire for fruits and vegetables, both raw and cooked. I've had a greatly diminished desire for sweets and processed foods. I still love meat, but am more cautious of the genetically engineered stuff at the local supermarket. There is a huge difference in the meat one gets at the store and what it was intended to be. The grass-fed free-range cattle are much healthier than the grain fed stuff you buy in the store.
