The Master Cleanse originally was developed to heal ulcers.

However you look at it obviously whatever shes ingesting is not good for her system so while she might get some relief and some healing happening from the MC or whatever other natural methods, a radical change of eating habit need to occur to allow for the full healing and tissue regeneration to work. This change is also not just a temporary thing till she heals but it will be a life long lifestyle change which now at a critical stage she'll really need to walk a real tight line on what she ingests
