I agree that something is very off with this. There are simply too many anecdotal stories of low dose Iodine working well to control breast pain.
But in thinking of my own...I went from low dose (low for me at 25mgs) working fairly well then having fibrocystic pain return. I went onto thyroid hormone and Flechas told me that was blocking the Iodine from getting into the breast. He's seen this happen. I went onto thyroid hormone because my TSH went up. (but I was feeling fabulous).
So is this a possiblilty?
Also found that 50mgs wasn't enough to keep my breasts under control...now at 100mgs breasts are progressing along perfectly and no pain in months. I wonder if for some of us lower doses (and I know 50 isn't exactly low dose) just knocks stuff off without dumping it out of the body so it's causing problems....
I'm just scratching my head over this study....all I can think is Symbollon didn't do thier homework well. I wish we could see the details on each case.
