I have never been successful w/the whole"kundalini - start at the base of the spine" stuff altho - granted -- i am not very motivated or patient enough or something ... However, ....

when I have meditated with the focus of the energy coming forth from my heart and crown chakras (I usually begin by focusing my energy "expansion" as coming from the heart chakra (centered within the heart). I have had profound "at-one-ment" experiences which are usually accompanied by great elation. For what its worth ....
