I think ascorbates offer the best. Ascorbates can be magnesium, calcium or sodium. I would think that the magnesium ascorbate would be more beneficial. I would suggest that the palpatation issue could be caused by magnesium deficiency (potassium) EmergenC offers a nice vitamin C that has mineral ascorbates in it along w/ some b vits
