I keep hearing people talk about "global warming". Its Climate change on a global scale. Is it being caused by man's meddling with the environment? Very well could be and probably is. There is nothing we can do about it at this point. Needless to say its "bigger than we are". My belief is we are approaching a "tipping point" at which a sudden cataclysmic shift in weather patterns could be triggered. Researchers have seen evidence of such radical changes happening over just 3 or 4 years. I would not be surprised to see northern Europe suddenly have an "endless" winter like happened a few centuries ago. At this point I think anything is possible and we can argue until the cows come home about what caused it...but the countdown has started and I find little evidence to show me we can do squat about it.
