The oilmen and the bankers have had a pact for decades to work together. Eventually though, one will seek to dominate the other and there will be knives in the back. My guess is that the bankers will win. They'll have their agents snuff out a few key players, within a few short weeks time, at the appropriate moment, and take all the spoils. The days of the old-time oil trust family members are numbered. My guess is that it will happen after the passing of the grandson. Would be analogous to the silent purges at the ONI back in the early 90's.
