It costs 30 to 40 thousand to incarcerate someone. Putting someone in jail destroys families, it destroys communities.

Drug laws are unconstitutional, which makes you a totalitarian.You might just as well say we should crucify drug users.

If drug are legal the price will drop by a factor of 100 or more. Marijuana can be grown easily. Probably the same for opium.Heroin can be manufactured synthetically probably very cheap. The crime associated with drugs will disappear.

I have no worries about drug users if they can get their drugs cheap. Alcoholics kill 20 thousand americans every year. And alcohol and tobacco kill 100,00 and 425,000 americans every year.

But the bottom line to you is how useful your wage slaves will be if stoned. I have no doubt that most pot users can do most jobs,certainly they can do landscaping, while under the influence. Studies have shown they drive better while high. I have seen people do high tech jobs and drive while using pot without any problem. There are doctors who practiced medicine for decades while addicted to morphine.

Most prostitution is the result of women trying to get money to pay for their drug.
use. Legalizing drugs will reduce the amount of prostitution by 90%.

The drug war is a war on people but you will never get that. And you are a hypocrite for using tobacco and alcohol while making the other drugs illegal.

Black dropout rate in Detroit is 75%. it cant get any higher.
