I did skip UT for 7 months. I was on high doses of Iodine anywhere between 80-120mg a day (there is 6.25mg in one drop of 5% Lugol's). You can read the instructions in the FAQ at that forum.
In general people should start slow with 1 drop. In my case I have done more than 60 liverflushes in the last 5 years, plus a lot of other cleanses and improved lifestyle so I did not have a problem with doing it.
Now I only take a few drops a week for maintenance and I am back on UT.
