I mean, Alexander Technique, for goodness sake!

I've been using those four statements for years!

Release the neck, understanding that the hinge at the top of the spine connects to the back edge of the skull and that the chin should not stick out.

Widen the shoulders.

Lengthen the torso.

Release the legs.

...All without any 'effort' or 'exercise' or particular 'movement' put into it.

I even went through a long period of light neck muscle ache, because I was unused to my muscles doing their work.

No, this isn't all there is to the Alexander Technique, I know, but the nearest practitioner is 350 miles away.

However, a friend had deteriorating discs and was facing spinal fusion. When I next saw her, 30 years later, she was gorgeous, even in her late 60's. She glowed, and would stand out in any crowd.

So, my mental picture of you is great!
