Its the oldest trick in the book. Written in every war book from The Art of War to The Prince by Machiavelli, create you own enemy. Hilter certainly knew about it. The week after he was put in power he bombed his own place and blamed it on the other party, and what happens.........write new laws to 'protect everyone' by giving up their rights.

In fear people will do strange things like giving up their own rights to freedom and standing by while men are killed in front of them all in the name of protecting society.
