"Even under the magnanimous US constitution, slander and character assasinations are a crime, punishable by law."

Wow. I'm always willing to learn. Can you point to me specific passages in the "constitution" which makes slander a crime, "punishable by law" ? I'd be very interested in that, as I must have missed it.
