Hi, I had the WORST bout of flu? ever in 1993 when I was too sick to move in bed. Headache, body aches, cold then hot, shivering, sweating, dizzy, sore throat and then nasty COLD SORES appeared on my lips. The on call Dr said Terrible flu, fluids up, any high fever ring him and gave me some antibiotics. My mother had to come in and help me and eventually I got better slowly but was left with a Post-Viral Syndrome that fitted the diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I have never been quite the same since. I was 1/10 then and about 6.5/10 now :( The cold sores healed but a week later my lips cracked and I have fought this battle with them since 1993. The Dr swabbed them and got candida back, not only there but also my tongue and mouth! He asked me to take an HIV test!!!! (Negative) so WHAT IS DOING THIS TO ME? The best I can get them is two red marks on each lip that will pass in public (just)! The one cream that helped here was AmcalAnti-Fungal Cream (Clotrimazole 10mg/g) and I am now trying Hydrozole also Clotrimazzole 1% AND Hyddroccortisone 1%. This was on the advice of the chemist who also said that even after 15 years the odds of a cure are almost zero! GREAT I FELT LIKE TAKING SANDPAPER TO THE CORNORS OF MY MOUTH AND RUB IT INTO A RED MUSS THEN SEE IF THE DAMN THING WAS STILL THERE! I too have the little white bits (inside) the mouth on the cracked corners and I have a strong feeling that when they solve the angular chelitis I will have my reason for being so tired and lifeless, but for now the creams are my saviour as well as a strong Vitamin B Complex. I had a blood test for Vitamin B1 which was fine?! Has anyone some advice that might cure me? Thanks all, Dreamer Dreamer
