Hello Chiron....

Well I think the pickling lime is half banned cause when I look at the grocery stores at the canning aisle, I see a lot of jars with pickled stuff made in US, but not in Canada, so I think there are no factories that use pickling lime in Canada for canning or no factories that does the canning stuff.

My 2 cents.
