It was surreal. I work at a snobby yacht club on eastern end of Long Island. Every August he spends the month out there (not a member of club). I see him everyday for the entire month. He sails a little sunfish by himself everyday. I used to wave to him and say hello from the pier. One day he just sailed up onto the beach and started walking towards me. I was alone on the beach with a lifeguard. I'm saying to myself holy crap Paul MCCartney is walking towards us. He shook our hands and we just chatted for about 15-20 minutes. Nicest guy in the world. Was just like chatting with a buddy. I was on cloud nine for a week. I'm a HUGE Beatles fan.
