I didn't mean to suggest that there is any part of scripture that is not historical fact (except the parables, the parables are examples/principles).

Genesis 1:1 was the first instance of time on this earth. Whether anyone feels it necessary to make time periods/intervals of the days of CREATION a point of contention or not (my days of recreation are a week apart) or not, the first instance of time may have been millions of years ago before the mythical Mesopatamian Gilgamesh epic/epoch or before the ice age that wiped out the dinosaurs (assuming they did exist, I never saw one), but the Rock of ageS is the Christian God.

Colossians seems to refer to "CHURCH" ages, however, I regard the whole matter to be academic and it simply aids scholarly bickering, for I look to the real prize,...life everlasting with My Lord (not EDEN on this earth).


I meant that each person's understanding of God is according to their conscience and demeanor.

If they are a nasty/unjust person, they will FEAR Him because their conscience dictates to them that they deserve a penalty (shame of others yeilds guilt, slyness/schemes yeilds mistrust/fear of others,etc.).

If they are fair/just and are prone to knowing/understanding truth (having a respect for absolutes), then they will come to know His real truth (we will receive His truth according to our chosen countenance/how much we obey our conscience).

There has always been 'number madness' in this world (as though everything should be specified in a mathematical/chemical formula,...CONTROL)...

...but that is all 'academia' and denominational politics to me, I've decided to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified. The scholars can have their fun and nurture their ego, but I'm going for the real prize.

People are afraid of their conscience IF they forsake it (it HAUNTS them).
