It's the message antivaxers want to send - but your own link highlights the importance of using the vaccine in the primary population it was originally intended for (infants), so as to prevent pneumococcal pneumonia from spreading into the elderly population.

It is also still recommended that the elderly get the pneumococcal vaccine because it protects against the most serious form of pneumococcal infection (bloodstream infections), which is fatal in 20% of cases.

How pitiful it must be to be an antivaxer, desperately combing antivax sites and news stories to find any sort of straw to grasp at in the obsessive urge to denigrate immunization.
