Hi montana girl,

I haven’t read this book but I can surmised pretty much what was said in those days about your colon. Cleansing your colon and then keeping it in good shape, I believe, is essential to good health.

As far as methods of cleansing, there are very many ways to do it. There are laxatives that do it, fibre that will cleanse, enemas and colonic irrigation will do it.

Laxatives come is many variety: magnesium salts such as Epsom salts, Oxy powder, Milk of magnesia and others, herbal laxative often in form of tea (Smooth move tea, etc), and a whole lot of over the counter laxatives sold in drug stores. Some laxatives work better than others for colon cleanse.

Fiber laxatives usually contain psyllium and/or flax seed and clay. The fiber is to help scrub the walls of the colon.

Enemas and colonic irrigation flush out the colon.

There is no one method better than another. You will need to try several and find out what works for you.

Your diet is probably the most import part of cleansing. You will need to follow some diet  for your health.
