I have a skinny vata body and I used to think a cold shower was a particularly vicious form of torture. I finally figured out how to do it comfortably. I use a hand held shower and start spraying just my feet with the cold water then I move very slowly all the way up till I'm showering the top of my head with the water. This makes all the difference for me and I can do it without all the gasping and shivering.
