Cats transfer many parasitic and other diseases to humans. You have to ask yourself if being chronically ill out-weighs the pleasure of owning pets. My current problems could be related to a ferret I had years ago. I would prefer to be healthy, and let fate take it's course. I am sorry for your plight, but the decision is clear in this case.
