Yep I think we were saying the same thing in different ways, or with the emphasis in different places. I have heard one fasting doctor who currently practices who seems quite confident in fasting patients with diabetes and hasn't mentioned any condition on how long they've been insulin dependant for so it would certainly be worth a diabetic getting a professional opinion before giving up on fasting altogether.
