Yes and it was a problem for me, I had quite a drop in blood sugar a few hours later in the drink with lemon.....tearful, depressed, irritable, craving salt....its because it's so quickly absorbed, I used very little molasses, just 1/3 tspn but I'm prone to blood sugar drops with adrenal problems. When I tried it with calcium hydroxide though it wasnt as bad. I think calcium helps to balance blood sugar. Experiment with doses.
