i had insomnia something horrible on mirena. i had mirena for 3 1/2 years. i never did sleep well with it. after i was told my mirena was lost last october. getting my mirena consumed me and i only got about 4 hours of good sleep. i did a little better when i slept with a blindfold on. it seemed like i went through phases with insomnia. i am 8 days post removal. i have no muscle aches. no joint pain at all. i slept from 10pm to 7:30 am last night. i have so much energy and i can think and relax. today i noticed i can hold my hands out with palms up. i know it doesnt mean much to anyone else,but i am ecstatic. i also didnt realize how slow my reflexes had gotten with mirena. now i am with it. good luck with removal!!!
