You are so right about there being something psychological about sharing the bed, I think this is really true. My boyfriend worked overnights for awhile, and during that time was the most distant, and messed up time in our relationship. We still saw each other but something about being on totally opposite schedules drove a wedge between us. Now he has quit his job and is sleeping next to me again and I feel a lot deeper of a connection with him.
