No worries. Actually two mature people getting together later in life is probably a very good base to do this separate sleeping thing. I really wouldn't worry about it too much. No reason to get physically sick just to keep that intimacy. It's one of those things...just gotta do what you gotta do, you know?

As long as you can come together for other bed like events, then the intimacy won't go away. And possibly those nights you do spend together will be treats.

I guess what I'm saying is to not over-think it. At some point you gotta say that this is working, and don't try to fix something that is not broken. Mature people have the advantage of communication, etc.

As for the bed. My husband and I have a temperpedic....pricey but I can't feel him moving even if he were to jump up and down on the other side of the bed. Took a bit getting used to (like sleeping in sand) and it fills in all those places that a traditional mattress does not, so you are actually a bit sore for the first month. But it has a lifetime warranty, and I couldn't be happier with it. They cost a bundle though. I seriously think it's the best investment we ever made. Of course in your situation, who would actually have the benefit of sleeping on this? I guess not you as long as the Beverly Hillbilly reruns are not in the bedroom!

Personally I can watch re-runs of Sex and the City, also Frasier seems to knock me out quite quickly. I found that there are some late night cable shows of "Book Review", and oh man, those psuedo-intellectuals are way boring. Last time I crashed they were reviewing a book about the biography of the most boring individual that ever lived. It was probably entitled, "Bet you can't get past 10 pages on this thing...". They didn't like the book, but blathered away endlessly about it.

We recently got aromatherapy in our room. Although my husband had a "healing crisis" from it the first week, it's done wonders for our sinuses. Can't even believe how much better I can breathe, and I can smell better during the day. It's one of those nebulizer things. I wonder if it will do something about my snoring? I'm also losing weight, so I wonder if that will help also? I'd like to be able to share a room with someone without them having to arm themselves against my invasiveness. It makes me feel so feminine, really.

My husband said once that he knows I'll never "have an affair". That if given the opportunity, and there was any "sleep" involved, he doubts the man will be as enamored of me after. Nice huh? Well he said, you are a beautiful, funny, talented lady when you are awake, but when you are asleep, you sound like a cross between the chain saw massacre, and demons from the bowels of hell. You gotta love the guy.

Sorry for the long posts. Been sort of doing that lately. Not posting as much, but when I do...man they are long.

Sleep tight girlfriend.

Molly
