Sounds to me like you may have had an allergic reaction to "safflower" oil. The information I've read on OP (from east India origination) names "sunflower" or "sesame" oils. I know many here use other oils; but, I just stick to the ones originally listed in literature...and I've had no problems. Of course, people can also be allergic to either of those two oils, but I suspect it's few and far between.

Bottom line, if I were you I would NOT use safflower oil again.
