I doubt it. I have seen the cysts, and the emergence of the bacteria from them.
The odd thing is, some of the strains coming out look like mini-structures of this {pictured} organism.
I have another photo, which shows a more complex organization happening. I will post it here.







I think this is a related parasite, but can' figure the connection. Shroom
