what you are saying is true to an extent, candida is a mechanism that is the clean crew for an unhealthy body as is all yeasts that grow uncontrolled, the reason why so many people suffer with overgrowth of this yeast is because they are NOT as healthy as they would like to imagine regardless of all the protocols they may enlist themselves in

there are exceptions to the rule, and one might be nutrient absorption for proper energy release (especially in context of alkaline minerals reacting with acids)...this is where leaky gut may present itself as a very powerful obstacle to overcome...is your body cannot effectively absorb the healing nutrients, how are you going to fix the issue at hand (ie an over acidic body, or one lacking in key minerals)
