I had the Mirena inserted three weeks ago. I was booked in when my period was due but it hadn't started when I went to the clinic. It was still inserted and I ended up starting my period two days later. I haven't stopped bleeding since then but what is really uncomfortable is the constant lower abdominal and lower back pains. Has anyone else had these pains and how long did they last for you?
