your feet are like a second set of kidneys. they are organs of elimination. they should be kepts bare and cold and standing on moist earth and grass. this is why they stink when wrapped in socks and shoes for any length of time. if the stinking stops, the elimination has stopped and created another dam against ridding the body of toxins. spending some time in the morning sun(naked is best) with bare feet in the dew is medicine fit for a king.
