Yes, vitamin C is always ascorbic acid, it is just a different name for the most part. At least when dealing with nutrition.
Part of the confusion between the 2 names is that any chemical compound has 2 forms of a 3 demential model of it, they are mirrow immiges of each other. Chemist call them R- forms and L-forms. In Bio-Chemistry we see that the active forms of the molocules are the L-forms that act and react in living tissues.
Thus vitamin C always the L-form of ascorbic acid. (Not the R- form).
"Camu-Camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a shrub " here they are just talking about the concentration in a plant.
