I have a question I am hoping someone will be able to answer. Right now I do not have diabetes. two years ago I had insulin dependent gestational diabetes. I am checked yearly now I just had my checkup and while the dr. said everything was fine. I was a little freaked. last year my ac1 test was a 5.2 this year it was 5.6 and he said he doesnt worry until its 6.0 or higher. Well at the rate that I am going it will be that high next year.

My question is I was cleansing while I had this test and was wondering if anyone knows if this will actually make the test a little higher. I am fine with becoming insulin dependent but would really like to save that for a later date if at all possible. I am keeping to a healthier diet and really watching what I eat.
