CLO2 oxidizes mercury and renders it harmless. So does iodine. It effectively neutralizes it. The important part of this detox is to keep the evacuation pathways open. CLO2 oxidizes several other metals. Chlorella will help to take them away. Cilantro will bind them. There are so many natural chelation agents.
