Good for you! You need to get rid of all that mucus. You'll find that your sinuses get clearer to some degree. Four minutes is a respectable time to do in increments, but I'd hazard a guess that it will get easier for you as you go along. I think we all gagged at first, and when you get used to the process, you won't as much.

I do notice that when I am congested, my gagging reflect goes into overdrive. Also, in hindsight, I actually had about a month that I couldn't go over 10 minutes because it would tickle my throat a lot. That has since diminished to almost never.
