Dear Moreless,
I am a fit, active 26 year old male and have been following the protocol for over a year now with tremendous results (pain-free from old sports injuries/surgeries, better emotionally/mentally balanced, mucous/sickness-free, improved skin/complexion, improved energy, and the list goes on) - and many thanks are due to you for these improvements. I do have one question for you on a problem that has persisted/gotten worse as I've gotten healthier...
Despite being quite thin, I have all my life had a bit of an expandable gut, which when not full of food would be relatively flat, and would expand upon eating. Before changing my ways, I ate tremendous amounts of food/junk at all hours. Anytime I ate, my gut would expand temporarily, but in an hour or two would be back to "normal".
Over the last year+, my diet has consisted of high-brix, nutrient dense fruits and veggies, small portions of salmon and pastured beef, and limited amounts of raw dairy products. I believe I have a near-optimal diet, never get hunger pangs, don't cheat between meals, avoid bad food combos, no protein in the evening, etc.
As the months have gone by, my bloated gut problem has become obscene. I am at the point now where, on a flat/empty stomach, eating a couple pears or drinking a glass of juice will make me appear, literally, six months pregnant. And "pregnant" would be the most accurate way to describe the bloated appearance, as I don't have extra fat or rolls hanging around down there. Again, it's just a big gas-tank pregnant look. A hearty meal can leave me looking like a skinny, 8-9 months pregnant male. Additionally, the bloating lasts much longer than it did "in the old days" when it would go away in an hour or two.
Despite all this, I seem to have effective digestion and the bloating does not coincide with any internal discomfort. The only other relevant details here may be that I drink less water than I ever have previously as thirst has become my guide for water intake (and never drink with meals) and that the bloating is enhanced even further when I take my alkalizing baths. I recently completed a week-long fast (not to combat the gut problem) and my stomach ended up in it's most "flat" or "normal" state in quite some time. My first solid food intake in breaking the fast was two pears. A full hour later, I looked to be about four months pregnant.
Your thoughts on this matter are most appreciated and I have tried to provide all relevant details. Thank you kindly sir.
