Hi all

I'm new to the BTD and I'm not really sure if I'm convinced by it all, but to be fair I only started this week and so only time will tell.

My naturopath gave me this diet after I went to him with chronic recurrent cystitis - the doctors kept giving me Antibiotics and the e.coli kept mutating and coming back stronger than ever.....a vicious cycle. My concern is that with my diet, it includes a lot of milk and other dairy products and meat (I'm not a vegetarian), that eating these foods will cause more acid in my system. This acid is what feeds the nasty e-coli. I feel a bit confused and let down by my naturopath, how can a seemingly acidic diet cure an acid related illness?

I would greatly appreciate any advice from anyone out there who have had any similair experiences or have any suggestions.
